The Phi Theta Kappa Advisor of the Year Award recognizes a chapter advisor or group of advisors who have demonstrated excellence and commitment to the Phi Theta Kappa mission.
The mission of Phi Theta Kappa is to “Recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and; Provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.”
Nominees will be scored in five categories – 1) Student growth and development, 2) Chapter growth and development, 3) Local impact, 4) Student support, and 5) quality of nomination. Nominations will be reviewed using a blind scoring process.
Each college may submit one nomination and the winner will be announced at the Phi Theta Kappa ceremony on April 25, 2019. All nominees will be acknowledged at the ceremony and online.
